Welcome to OOPBID AUCTIONS

This section was set up in response to members wanting to trade a wider range of items – and be able to raise more substantial funds than the original Only One Pound book sales. It means we can be raising more than “Only One Pound” per transaction!

• To list an item or place a bid you need to be a member - membership is FREE. Join Here

• At the top right of every page in the site you can Log In with your username and password then follow the links to list or bid from the Members Menu.

In your Members Area you can

• Add Auction item - Add an auction item.

• Edit Auction item -Edit and amend an existing auction item.

• All items are listed for 7 days and the highest bidder wins.

• Minimum selling price is set by the seller - remember to include the cost to you for delivery. Click for Guide to Postage Costs

• Winning bids will be notified by e-mail with a link to Paypal to make the payment.

• Failure to make payment within 48 hours will mean the next highest bidder is awarded the lot.

• You can upload images of items for sale - images preferably should be no larger than 150 by 150 pixels and 20kb.

• Seller decides how much to donate to the charities - by a drop down choice of 50% or 100% when listing. So if you wish to keep some money for yourself – you can!

• Or why not persuade a local business to offer an item? For example – a holiday from a local travel agent?

• Maybe you can convince a celebrity to donate some memorabilia – the possibilities are endless!

• Why not collaborate with OOP and have a split auction? For example – you could use the Auction Section to raise funds for your local school. To discuss your ideas Contact Us

• If the buyer must collect please mention this in your listing - give potential buyers some idea of your location.

• It is free to list an item, there are no hidden charges. OOP retains a maximum administration fee of 8% of the winning bid. (Though if an item achieves a large amount we will reduce this and pass more to WaterAid and Sightsavers!)

Legal ownership
When listing any item you assert that you can legally pass ownership of that item.

Sellers Obligations
You must accurately describe each item you offer and not mislead any Only One Pound Member. You are liable for any errors inaccuracies or omissions in your description. Brand names must be correct and not infringe any intellectual property or other rights of the brand owner.

Categories.
You are not permitted to place an item in more than one category.

Activities Not Permitted.

• Any item considered offensive, pornographic, or misleading will be removed.

The following are not permitted to be sold or carried out on Only One Pound.

• Illegal/copied software, games, films or a product that infringes copyright laws.

• Spam – enough said!

• Blatant advertisements – i.e with links to other websites.

• Stolen goods.

• Multiple listings of an identical item.

• Items with a very low price and a high postage fees. Postage costs must be included.

• Items listed in the wrong category may be removed or re-listed by us in the correct category.

• Drugs and Chemical substances.

• Firearms and ammunition.

• Alchohol and Tobacco products.

• Concert and sporting tickets – unless as part of agreed promotion.

• Offensive WW2 memorabilia

• Incentives to get free items.

• Any other items that are prohibited by law or considered unsuitable by Only One Pound.

Breach these guidelines and your membership WILL be removed!
